New Open Jam Night at The Charles Bradlaugh
Karaoke nights are set to be a thing of the past while the more traditional open jam sessions are proving more popular than ever.
The 1970s brought us acoustic evenings, karaoke was the craze in the 1980s and 1990s but now ten years into the new millennium it seems that open jam sessions are taking the social scene by storm!
The Charles Bradlaugh in Northampton is the latest venue to give local musicians the chance to showcase their talent in front of a live audience!
Everyone from soloists and instrumentalists to classical, rock and pop bands are being invited to take to the stage in the pub on the Earl Street on the first and third Thursday of every month. A full kit is available and all performers will receive a free drink!
Assistant manager and event organiser Marie Gardner said: “We have previously run acoustic nights which always proved really popular so this is an extension of that!
“Anyone is invited to take part! It is set to be a relaxed and fun atmosphere where people can sit back and enjoy the music or get up and have a go themselves!”
All acts must register by 8.30pm and entry is free.
The next open jam sessions events will take place on Thursday 6th and 20th May from 9pm until midnight.
