The sad story of the pair of Peacocks which died leaving the aviary without it's most popular attraction is now set to have a happier ending.
The council had decided not to replace the birds, but now local businessman Tony Ansell owner of the Park Cafe has donated three birds. The new birds are to be delivered this weekend and will include a one-year-old white peacock, a two-year-old Indian blue and a one-year-old black shouldered peacock
The male bird had died of a heart attack leaving the female which died shortly afterwards.
