11/02/2010 - Abington Park Wants More Friends
The Friends of Abington Park have issued an appeal to recruit more members. The work of The Friends has benefited many visitors to Abington Park over the years, but generally people are not aware of what we do, commented Brian Stevens, Chairman. We have had some great successes recently with the new play equipment and the new fitness work out apparatus. We have also been clearing the spinney and are putting plans together to make the park more enjoyable for all. We are particularly interested in getting some more energetic people with young families involved and are planning some events which all age groups can participate in.
There is a meeting of The Friends of Abington Park this Wednesday 17th February 7pm at the Abington Parish Church Rooms. All are welcome.
